Upgrade is the transfer of your old WMT on the Cardano blockchain to the new WMTx token on multiple chains: Ethereum, Base, Cardano or BNB. You will only do this once.

The WMT to WMTx upgrade involves moving from Cardano to other networks, including EVM (ERC-20) chains and Cardano as well. Your source wallet must be a Cardano wallet, specifically Eternl. While other wallets like Nami may work, we do not officially support them.

To set up your source wallet, you need to install the Eternl wallet extension. This extension serves as your gateway to the Cardano ecosystem.

Make sure you wallet's dApp capability is activated.
Connect the right account: Ensure the wallet you connect on Eternl is the one holding your WMT.
Always use Mainnet to ensure that you are operating in the live environment where real transactions occur.

The destination chain for WMTx can be either Cardano (using Eternl) or an EVM-compatible chain (using Metamask or Coinbase Wallet): Ethereum, Base, or BNB.

If you are upgrading your token to the Cardano-based WMTx, there is no need to connect an additional wallet. If you have not already connected Eternl as the source wallet, please do that now.

If you want to upgrade to an ERC-20-based token (Ethereum, Base, BNB), you will need to install and connect one of these two wallets:

Ensure the correct chain is selected: depending on your chosen destination, you will need to ensure your wallet extension is configured to use Ethereum, Base or BNB chains.
